Crime Syndicates

There are four main ruling groups within the tunnels of Su’Basakar, each possessing a seal given to distinguish its members from common criminals. The four groups are:
Broken Swords – The Broken Swords are the mercenaries guild of Su’Basakar. Due to the less subtle nature of mercenary work, the Broken Swords are the most well know and most open business of all the guilds. Another side effect of the less shrouded nature of the mercenary work of the Broken Swords is that, along with the smuggling guild of the city, the Broken Swords have become the main recruiters for the various syndicates of Su’Basakar.
Legitimate Businessmen – The Legitimate Businessmen of Su’Basakar is the core thieves guild for the city. They are really, really awesome at getting into documents, and tampering with them to conceal their own bloody secrets. Very little is know about this guild due to its nature of secrecy.
Shadow Dwellers – The Shadow Dwellers are the main assassin’s guild of Su’Basakar. Like the Legitimate Businessmen, very little information is know about the Shadow Dwellers, due to their high proficiency at their work.
West Coast Trade Caravan – The West Coast Trade Caravan of Su’Basakar acts as the smugglers guild of the city. Because of their closer relations with other cities and countries, the West Coast Trade Caravan plays a vital role in the economy of Su’Basakar. The West Coast Trade Caravan has often been referred to as the “Store front of crime” due to its close connections within the crime syndicates of Su’Basakar and its relationship to traders across the know world. Like the Broken Swords, the West Coast Trade Caravan often acts as a recruitment station for aspiring thieves, assassins, sell-swords, and smugglers.

Inter-guild Relations:

-The WCTC will often hire members of the Broken Swords to guard less – than – legitimate caravans between cities, or as hired muscle for trade deals.
The WCTC act as the almost exclusive fence for goods obtained by the Legitimate Businessmen, often creating false accounts of money to explain the disappearing goods.
-The Broken Swords will often take jobs as getaway transports for the Legitimate Businessmen when working on more risky jobs.
-The Shadow Dwellers work most independently of all the guilds, however they often lead teams with other guilds when working in more complex jobs, or jobs which it is necessary to provide a story before or after a kill (such as creating an apparent suicide, or framing a murder).
